ANATOMIC SEPARATION
Type: Alteration Action: One (active)
Range: Personal Duration: Sustained
Resistance: None Cost: (1 point per rank) + Fixed -1

You can separate your body parts from the rest of your body to improve your reach. You can split off body parts and have them move on their own. At one rank, you can only send a body part a few feet from your body, enough to count as having Extended Reach. At two ranks, you can move your detached body parts around the same zone you're in, giving all of your Touch Range attacks the benefits of being treated as Close Range (but you can't move them into . At three ranks, you can move your detached body parts into adjacent zones, as if they were Long Range. Beyond three ranks, each additional rank allows you to move your detached body parts one additional zone away without penalty, but you must spend an additional Move for every additional zone you want to send your body parts.

Your separated body parts are still a part of you, and you are injured if they are struck, though they count as being 2 size-categories smaller than you (which grants a +2 to Defense and a -2 to Toughness for the detached parts). You gain no bonus to Attack from your smaller body parts, and suffer no penalty to your Effect modifier.

Your body parts don't simply appear away from your body, but must physically detach and move there, so they can be blocked by barriers.

Base FX[]

Extras[]

  • Indirect: Your body parts actually do disappear and reappear away from your body, possibly even the location you desire (at 3 ranks of this extra).
